2026 Reading Challenge

Beat the Backlist is all about focusing on books that were published in previous year or earlier. With so many amazing books released each year, it’s easy to get swept up in what’s coming and forget the books that have already been published.
Each book read earns an entry into our mystery prize drawing! Stop by at the Gorham Public Library to have a staff member initial the record page. Then fill out a submission slip!
- The challenge runs from February 2nd , 2026 to December 21st , 2026.
- The book must be published in the previous year or earlier.
- You must start and finish a book in the challenge year to count it.
